DIY Photo Cork Board

This post is participating in Rhoda's Thrifty Finds on Southern Hospitality Blog.

I got this old oil painting at a thrift store for $5! Here is the before shot before I deconstructed it to make a new photo board.

First I yanked out the old staples and nails. Since the painting was attached to a peice of plywood, I had my dad cut me a new piece. A coat of white spray paint later and the frame was done. Hubby layered two sheets of cork board to the plywood and attached them to the frame.

The pictures are still a work in progress but I like that it adds a modern touch to my semi traditional room. I'm hoping to find a chandelier and then I'll do the big reveal on the room!
