Twilight/New Moon Epicness

Who said a throwing a party has to cost a lot of money? Even though I think Twilight is one of the most cheesiest movies ever made, I took it as a challenge and opportunity to get some of my girlfriends over to relax and have some fun. My goal was to create a fun and "spooky" atmosphere for a night that included Twilight trivia, the movie screening and general fun.

I started off with the templates at Hostess with the Mostess and bought dollar store frames to display them in. Apothecary jars held dark red cinnamon disks and Twizzlers (a nod to the La Push scene.) Candles set the mood and I had Christmas lights throughout the room as a nod to the prom dance scene. I made garlands out of Twilight trading cards and valentine templates located on ambrosiagirl.com

Prizes included a Twilight board game ($7 at Marshalls), Twilight themed candy ($1 at Walmart), bookmarks and mini buttons ($3 each at Target.)

Mr P. created the favor tags after I spied one that looked similar but had no template to ultilize.

And because I tried to keep things green and limit all plastic purchases, I used items like utensils and cups left over from le bebe's first birthday party. The gift and favor bags were left over from my wedding almost 5 years ago! We used New Moon themed plates that were made from recycled cardboard as well as napkins that were made from the eco friendly company Seventh Generation.

The whole gang working through some hard Twilight/New Moon trivia.

Digging through Teen Beat for the Edward posters.

At the end of the night they were all empty.
