New Year 50

Like last year I wanted to begin my year with the New Year 50 challenge by a favorite blogger of mine Valley Girl Goes Crunchy which essentially means to get rid of 50 things- be it donation, recycling, selling or throwing them away (last resort of course.) I like the challenge and since my goal for 2010 was to get more organized in general de-cluttering has been an ongoing project for me. It's a good reminder that I can live with a lot less stuff and that someone else can make good use of bebe's clothes and toys that she has moved on from. This year I focused on our closets and our sideboard drawers.

To Goodwill:
Turning 30 pin
Tulip tote
Plastic princess crown
Dora the explorer dvd
1 beanie baby
2 small plastic totes
3 old cd's
4 toddler books

To our cousins:
4 pairs of toddler pajamas
6 toddler shirts
1 pair of toddler slippers
1 swimsuit
2 dresses
2 pairs of toddler socks

To sell on ebay:
2 video games the husband donated to my cause

And finally this entire box of books. My goal is to sell these back to Half Price books and then browse around for 2 more gardening books. Fingers crossed they buy most of them back!

On this New Years Day we are relaxing in the house and enjoying some family time. New Years Eve was exhausting and after some thought I think we just needed to slow down and try to enjoy the last few days of our vacation. Today I woke up, took a warm bath, ran some errands have been leisurely decluttering ever since.

What 50 things will you be getting out of the house today?
